Nominations Open for Positions on CCTCA Board

Calgary Public Teachers, ATA Local 38 has the following five positions open for the Calgary City Teachers’ Convention Association Board:

• THREE (3) positions for a three year term (2017 March – 2020 March) [Nomination form for 3-year-term positions]
• TWO (2) positions for a one year term (2017 March – 2018 March) [Nomination form for 1-year-term positions]

Nomination forms must be received at the Local 38 office by April 7, 2017 at 1600 hrs. Members will be ratified at the Council of School Representatives meeting on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

NB: The duties of Local Representatives are as specified in the CCTCA constitution and include: assisting with the development of the convention program; liaising between the convention board and members of the Local; supporting convention operations by hosting and providing technical support to speakers during convention; and faithfully fulfilling the duties of any office of the board to which they are elected.  Convention Board positions are volunteer, not paid, positions.
